Christmas Eve 2013

The kids opened their new Christmas PJ's in the morning.
Then we made Christmas cookies for Santa
All ready for the Supinger Christmas Eve party
Christmas Eve was in Manteca at Spencer's brothers house.  It was a lot fun.  We enjoyed great food, opened gifts and played a lot.

Santa made a visit.

Right before the party Aubrey asked us a very important question, "how can Santa be every where at the mall, at parties and make gifts?" She is such a true believer and has believed up and tell now that that even the mall Santa is real.  So we had the talk that Santa has helpers at the mall and at parties so that he can get all the gifts made and delivered.  It was a great time to talk to her since she was going to see Santa "Grandpa" that night.  We thought for sure she would guess and then it would make for a lot of questions at the party.  Well sure enough she heard the ho ho ho's and I think even believed until one of the cousins spoiled it and yelled out that it was grandpa.  She then ran over to me and told me grandpa was one of the helpers.
After the party we headed home to get ready for Santa.  The drive home was fun looking for Santa's sleigh and counting Christmas lights on houses.  The kids did fall a sleep and were finishing up with pretty bad colds so they look a little tried in these pictures.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Our weekend in San Fransisco and the kids in the mountains

My parents offered to watch the kids for us a weekend in December so that we could get away.  We decided on the weekend before Christmas and to go to San Fransisco.  Nothing better than Christmas in the city!! It was a very nice relaxing break.  The only bad part was that Friday evening my mom called because Aubrey had a swollen lip and was running a temperature.  It's so strange that she has been getting these swollen lips and eyes.  I'm pretty sure she is allergic to something I just can't put my finger on it.  We are thinking it has to do with red dye in medicines, foods, candy and drinks so I have been trying to stay away from that stuff.  This made for me worrying a lot even though I knew she was in good hands it was just hard not being with my baby.  The swollen lip and temperature didn't stop her as you will see in the pictures below they had a fun filled packed Christmas weekend up in the mountains.

Before we headed to the bay area we stopped and bought a car lol! In all actuality we had been talking about trading in our accent for some time now and it just worked to do that evening with out the kids.  I was sad to see my 2002 Hyundai Accent (the first brand new car I've ever bought) go.  Spencer wasn't sad one bit he has been stuck driving that the last 8 years.  We traded it in for a 2013 Hyundai Elantra Limited.  It's beautiful and loads of fun to drive.  I'm happy we were able to get that for Spencer (and the family).
Friday night we stayed at mom and dad Supinger's and ate pizza and played games.  Saturday morning we got up early and headed to BART and into the city.  We decided not to bring the camera so all the pictures are from our phones (not the best quality).  Also not having kids with you we kind of forgot to take pictures.  Saturday we spend the day shopping, eating and people watching in Union Square.  It was very crowded but fun.

Sunday morning we walked over to Brenda's for brunch.  It was a restaurant we found on yelp and it was to die for good.  It was a really cool place that served New Orleans cuisine.
After brunch we did some more sight seeing and then headed home to see our babies.

Here are the pictures that my family sent me of the kids.
The first night they made gingerbread men.
Saturday they went ice skating and played in the little bit of snow that was left from the big snow storm.
Sunday they had breakfast with Santa at the Vista here in Merced.
As you can see Aubrey was much better and having a lot of fun.

This looked like a really cool activity they got to see and do so much.  They had a great time and us too!

The Last week of School before Christmas

The week before Christmas break was BUSY!!!
Tuesday I got to be Santa's helper at Peterson.  Aubrey was very proud of her mommy.  It was fun being all dressed up and taking pictures with over 700 kids! I felt a bit like a celebrity.
It was fun!
Wednesday was the kindergarten Christmas presentation.  Carter and I waited in the cold for almost an hour to get front row seats lol! I love that Aubrey loves how crazy her mom is right now she might not feel the same in a few years.

She did GREAT!! The songs were adorable and we will treasure the videos daddy took forever!! She really got into it and I loved every minute! She even was the star of the show when her and McKayla carried the tree out.
After school we had dance practice and then worked on our friend Christmas gifts.  The kids loved making things and saying which one will go to who.

When I did our family Christmas cards Aubrey worked on her own for every friend, so sweet!

Here is what we made for Ms. Stapp:
Thursday was party day!! Daddy got to go to Carter's and mommy went to Aubrey's.
Carter was very excited to get this book from Santa and to even have him autograph it.
They played games, did crafts and made a reindeer snack.  So grateful daddy could get the time off and go with him.  They had a lot of fun.
Here's another one of Daddy's projects for Aubrey's class:
Aubrey's party was a reindeer themed and was beyond adorable!!! Have I said how much I love her teacher yet?? She loves parties, crafts, projects, and activities more then me I think.

Look at all the stuff they made!!!

Time to pass out Aubrey's gifts.
What a fun day!
Thursday night was Aubrey's dance recital.  Another adorable event!
They danced to a cute Christmas Snow White song.  The girls all dressed up like Grumpy. This is one of Aubrey's good friends, Icolynn.

A older girl danced with them as Snow White it was really cute.  We are excited to watch as Aubrey gets older how good of a dancer she is.

Aubrey even ran into her friends from school back stage.
Friday was the first day of vacation and daddy's Christmas work party.
Thank goodness for a 2 week vacation after that busy week! Also on Friday Spencer and I got to leave for  a weekend away stay tuned for that post next.
