Aubrey's Christmas Dance Recital

This was Aubrey's first big dance recital and she did wonderfully. She did a ballet and a tap number and it was a joy to watch. Nana, Papa, Gaga, Titi and Great Grandpa came out for the day to watch her. She looked adorable in her costume. We were all so proud of our little angel.
Back stage with Aubrey's good friend Grace.
I thought these pictures of the girls waiting to go on stage were great.
I got to slide in and be right up front. I taped most of it so I didn't get many snap shots of her performing. They all did great!
Nana and Papa bought Aubrey a pink rose. She is one special little girl.
We had a pre-Christmas dinner at our house after the recital.
It was a great day filled with magical memories.
Great Job Aubrey!!!

Christmas Gatherings

Last Thursday night I hosted our monthly craft night. I added a small treat exchange to the craft night this month. We had 10 ladies and we made family ornaments, ate yummy treats and enjoyed good company.
On Friday was Spencer's work Christmas party. Aubrey was so cute and wanted to carry a purse and wear a bracelet, she is getting so big. I made my annual mice and a few other treats. It was nice to have this party after my treat exchange since we had lots of left overs.

Waiting to see the Fresno Santa. We have gone to see Santa about 4 times now. The kids love it!
Titi came over for Aubrey's dance recital (which will be the next post). We made cookies to take to the recital for the after party.
It's been a cold foggy winter so far but we have found a couple of sunny days to get some walks to the park in.
This picture is of my good friends and I at Jennifer's ornament exchange party a couple of Saturdays ago.

Making Cookies with Nana!

Last Tuesday the kids and I drove up to Sonora for the day to make Christmas cookies with Nana. It was a lot of fun and very yummy. It was neat watching Aubrey and her Nana working hard together to make such pretty cookies. It was also great to see all our Christmas decorations in their beautiful new home.
Carter loved watching the train go round and round the Christmas village.
Nana has an amazing button collections that Aubrey loves to play with.
Last minute we decided to stay the night. We were excited to get to see papa and in the morning the kids got horsey rides.
It was so nice to also have great-grandpa there too. I didn't get a picture with him but we so enjoyed spending time with him too.

Gingerbread house

A couple Sundays ago we made our family gingerbread house together. Aubrey amazes us everyday with her creativity, she pretty much did all the candy. Daddy was great with the frosting. I loved how he did the icicles, he is so talented.
Carter liked to climb on the table and check out the action.
Earlier that week Aubrey painted a ceramic angel.

Christmas Parade

On Saturday December 3rd Aubrey and I were in the Merced Christmas Parade. We belong to a mom's group here in town and they had made a float this year and we were excited to be a part of it. They had the kids dress up as farm animals and the moms as angels. Aubrey was the cutest little pig!
Daddy and Carter got to watch on the sidelines. Carter was so so so excited when he saw his mommy and sissy! Daddy said he waved at lots of people but when he saw us he waved, pointed and tried to stand up.
It was a lot of fun and very neat to be able to ride and wave at all the spectators. It brought me back to my marching band days.

The kids trees

The kids had fun decorating their very own trees for their rooms this year:
It's fun for them and us to have the Christmas cheer in their rooms.
