Last week (Bay Area and some other fun stuff)

Last week the kids and I went to the Bay Area for a couple nights to visit family. But before we left we picked our first artichoke.

Aubrey being silly! Love that girl!

Spencer joined a local softball team this year. He plays on Tuesday nights. The kids and I have fun cheering for him on the side lines. When he went up to bat Aubrey yelled, "go daddy go!"

Okay now on to the Bay Area. We had a great visit on Wednesday with Great Grandpa Merv. Carter loved walking all around and touching everything! Nana was also in town that day so we got to see her and have a nice lunch with everyone.

We stayed at Titi's for the week. It was a busy place since my dad stays there two nights week for work. We had fun having some papa bonding time.

On Thursday Titi and I took the kids to Habitot in Berkley for the day, it was great fun.

We had lunch at a local crepe place and it was so good! Carter enjoyed his dessert crepe the most.

We went and visited Great Grandma Alice that evening. Carter loved her shoe laces and Aubrey enjoyed looking at all the pictures and telling great grandma who everyone was in the pictures.

We came back home Friday and then on Saturday we went up to Sonora. Aubrey has been wanting a swing for a very long time. Papa surprised her with one and she was very excited, as you can see.

Mother's Day

I had a wonderful Mother's Day! Since it was the same weekend of Carter's party we got to see both our mom's on that Saturday which was a nice treat. Spencer was so cute he couldn't wait until the real day to give me his gift he made me so we did most our celebrating on Saturday after the party.

Spencer made me an awesome cork board, I love it! He made it out of a shadow box, he is so creative.

We put it by the computer and it looks great. We went out to dinner Saturday night to celebrate.

For the mom's this year I made tote bags filled with their favorite snacks.

Pre-School Pictures

Aubrey had her picture taken by her teacher a couple weeks ago at school. I wish my school pictures looked this good. Teacher Mary did a great job.

Carter's Party

Saturday was Carter's 1st birthday party. It was a blast! It was a safari themed party and it was so much fun making all the decorations and doing all the planning. But the best part of all was watching the excitement in Carter's eyes when he saw lots of his family, friends, balloons and the cake! We were so happy with the invites:

I love all the animal print things that I found around town to incorporate in all his decorations. I also LOVE the cupcakes that Spencer and I made, they came out so cute.

I forgot to get a picture of the food but we had hot dogs, mom's homemade potato salad, watermelon, bananas, chips and veggie sticks.

The games were guess how old Carter was in the pictures and guess how many veggie straws are in the jar. Papa Schill won the picture game and Payton won the veggie straw game, good job!

Party Favors

Daddy & Aubrey dressing the part.

Now on to the most important part, the birthday boy having the time of his life!

Nana & Papa Schill gave Carter an awesome sand & water table for the backyard. It is perfect! I though this picture was priceless.

Carter knew right what to do when the cake arrived.

What a day! Time for a nice bottle and a nap.

We were lucky to have Grandma and Grandpa Sup stay the night before the party. Carter opened their gift before his morning nap. He loved his huge collection of Hot Wheels.

It was an awesome party and I'm so happy that it went good. Thank you all for coming and making it such a special day for Carter.
