Thanksgiving Weekend

After all our fun Thanksgivings we stayed in the Bay area for the weekend because I had an appointment at Standford Monday morning (I will post more about that later). It was a great weekend. My mom and Laura watched the kids so that we could get some Christmas shopping done. While we were shopping Aubrey helped Titi decorate her tree.

We went to Happy Hallow in San Jose with my mom. My dad was up in the mountains working on the house. It is just about done. Yay! Aubrey had a blast at Happy Hallow. She loved the rides and all the other kids. Carter enjoyed looking around.

We also got to go up to the Oakland Temple with mom & dad Sup to see the Christmas lights.

It was a fun weekend!

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving this year. It was at our house and we had a lot of fun doing all the planning, shopping, and cooking. It was tons of work and we have a whole new appreciation for our parents for always doing it. The cooking timeline was the hardest part for us. It was hard to fit everything in the oven and keep the items that already cooked warm while the others cooked. Spencer made an amazing turkey. He brined the turkey which made it so yummy. All the sides were awesome too. It was a wonderful day seeing family and enjoying being together. The day started with the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade and cinnamon rolls.

Our table (Notice the pine cone turkeys)
We had our family of four, nana, papa, Aunt Laura, Uncle Scott, Uncle Stave and Aunt pat.

Spencer and his bird!

I forgot to take a before picture of the food.

Deuce enjoying his Thanksgiving dinner he got a little turkey too.
It was a great day!
On Friday we went to Mountain View to have Thanksgiving at Spencer's sisters. It was so much fun seeing all the cousins together and it was great enjoying food and being together with family.

Aubrey's cousin gave Aubrey some chap stick. We didn't know that she had it and this is how she looked when she came to show us.

We had an awesome two days!

We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

The week before Thanksgiving

The Tuesday before Thanksgiving Nana took the train out to come stay with us. It was so much fun picking Nana up at the train station. Aubrey loved waiting for her and then running to her when she got off.

After picking Nana up we went to the museum and lunch but I forgot to take pictures. Tuesday night Nana and Aubrey did a craft. They made pine cone turkeys for the Thanksgiving table.

We went the mall to shop and to see Santa again. Aubrey brought her list this time.

Carter loved being in Nana's arms the whole time.

Making some day before dishes.

Wednesday night Nana, Aubrey and I went to the movies and saw Tangled. It was a very cute movie and we enjoyed having some girl time out.

Thanks mom for coming out we love having you here!

Fall

A couple of Sundays ago we went to a beautiful park for a picnic lunch. The fall colors were gorgeous and the weather was perfect it was so much fun. Aubrey had the time of her life playing and running through the leafs.

When we were playing on the softball field hundreds of ladybugs landed on us. Aubrey thought they were so cool so we collected a few and then released them in our backyard.

Our lemon tree has been amazing this year.
Aubrey and Daddy picking some lemons.

Carter enjoying his first mum-mum
(I think that was a few weeks ago)
We have really been enjoying the fall season. We went to the Science and Technology museum a couple weekends ago.
We also have been enjoying lots of park time with our friends.
Friday night Daddy, Aubrey and I made some Oreo turkeys to get into the the Thanksgiving spirit. We are so excited we get to have our family here this year.

Santa!................ Already?

Yes it is true Santa has already come down from the North Pole. It seems a little early that only one week before this picture I was dressing the kids in their Halloween costumes. Aubrey has already been asking all about Santa I think because all the stores have had their Christmas decorations out since October. She even asked me right before we left for my birthday celebration if she could see Santa and I told her that he was still up in the North Pole for a couple more weeks well, I was wrong he was already here. We took this opportunity to get our annual Santa picture for the year. It was great since there were no crowds yet. Aubrey got lots of one on one time with the big man and she even got the cutest stuffed elf just for coming to see him that day. We are so happy with the way this picture came out. Aubrey was such a great big sister telling Carter "Its okay it's Santa!"
Getting ready for our turn.

Of course right when we went to sit on his lap Carter had a huge #2 so we had to run and change him and come right back.

Aubrey had a great time being with Santa. It's a huge difference from last year when she was screaming the whole time. She was very awestruck and was lost for words. When he asked her what she wanted I answered him with Barbie's (it was the first thing I could think of) and she has reminded me a dozen or more times that we have to go back and tell him her "real" list. I'm sure we will make many more visits this upcoming season.

I love seeing the excitement of Christmas through a 2 year olds eyes. It's going to be a great couple of months.

Family Birthday Party

I have been really spoiled this year. We met up with my family over the weekend for a wonderful birthday celebration. My poor mom broke her wrist on Halloween up at the house in Sonora. She had to have surgery last Thursday which went well but she is still in a lot of pain. I felt so special because even with her pain she insisted that we met up to celebrate my birthday. We had dinner at Chevy's, I opened gifts (thank you everyone, I love everything) and my family brought this beautiful cake for me.

One of our family traditions is to have table prices (small gifts) for the kids. That way they have something to open. Aubrey loved her my little pony.

At the end of the night the Chevy's crew sang to me and gave me a sombrero which Aubrey loved! It was a great night. Thank You everyone!
