I'm the big 30

I'm officially the big 30! Yesterday was my birthday. It's crazy how I'm now in my 30's. I'm not too sure how I feel about it but I guess it's okay. I did have a great day. I loved hearing Aubrey sing to me all day and how her eyes would light up when we talked about how it was my birthday. I also loved seeing all Carters smiles and that he took a couple really good naps. We met up with daddy at lunch time and had a picnic in the park.

My wonderful family took me out to an awesome dinner at Big Bubba's BBQ. That restaurant goes all out for your birthday so it was a lot of fun.

Aubrey in the tree house playing. Can you see Daddy and Carter way down there?

Aubrey took this picture of us. Not bad, huh?

My beautiful birthday cake that Aubrey and Spencer made me. It is so cute and very yummy!

The night before my birthday my friends took me out to dinner to Pocket 8's Teppanyaki. We had so much fun having a girls night.
Today at my MOPS meeting they all sang and I had to wear this silly crown. Thanks to my friend Murun she took a picture.
I got so many nice calls and e-mails from everyone, thank you! It has been so nice. I get to celebrate my birthday some more over the weekend with my family and I'm really looking forward to that.

Carter is 6 months

As always it feels like time is just flying bye. Carter turned 6 months last Tuesday. He is doing great and growing more and more every day. I took him to his appointment on Monday and the doctor is very happy with everything. He weights 17lbs. 10oz. and 26 inches long both are right about 50% percentile. We were a little worried about his head. it has a major flat spot, our doctor seems okay with it but we did end up getting a second option at the children's hospital just in case. The doctor their gave us the same answer that it will fix itself when he starts crawling both say it is very minor. So, I guess we will go with that and hope for the best. Carter has started to roll a lot more. I have found him on his stomach a couple times after his nap. He is starting to sit up all on his own for very brief periods of time. He is always looking around and gives tons of smiles. He is laughing more and makes lots of cute sounds. No teeth yet but they are definitely coming he drools like crazy. Carter is getting a little better with his nap times. He wakes up at 7am and takes 3 naps 9am, 1pm and 6pm down for the night at 10pm. Carter loves watching Deuce and hanging with his daddy. Another interesting fact about Carter is he LOVES the hair dryer he could be balling but as soon as I start blow drying my hair he is as happy as can be. He is such a funny little guy and we love him so much.

Halloween!!!!

This year we got to have a whole weekend of Halloween fun! It has been wonderful seeing Halloween through Aubrey's eyes this year. She has been so excited!
Here's our little Trick or Treating cuties:

Friday night we went to Zoo Boo at the Zoo. It was so much fun and got Aubrey all ready for the Halloween weekend.

We went with some friends. This was the best picture I got of the girls. They where very excited to be in their costumes and to be together.

Aubrey did very good saying "Trick or Treat" and going up to some really scary costumes. It was cute because I told her it was all pretend before we went just in case it was scary so when she would get scared she would keep telling herself, "all pretend, all pretend"

Saturday morning We had Halloween doughnuts and carved our pumpkin.

Can you guess what we carved?

Snow White!
Saturday night we had our friends Wendy, Mike and Carrie over for pizza and then we all went to Trunk Or Treat at our church.

Aubrey teaching Carrie the ropes.

Our little monkey had a great time watching all the kids around him.

My friend Wendy, her daughter Carrie, Carter and I.

We met up with my friend Murun and her family. They had lots of fun activities for the kids. They did a Halloween costume parade and the limbo.

Aubrey and Ethan.

There was also lots of dancing.

Spencer and I had fun making all Aubrey's meals look like Halloween. Aubrey and I thought the hard boiled egg was awesome that Daddy made.

We finished our Halloween weekend with some good old Trick or Treating in the neighborhood.

Aubrey rang almost every door bell on her own.
Now that all the hard work is done Aubrey can sit back and enjoy the fruits of her labor.

We had a wonderful Halloween this year!

Halloween Party

On Friday my friend Jessica and I put together a Halloween party for some of our MOPS and church friends. We had an awesome turn out, 8 moms, 11 toddlers and 5 babies. Jessica provided the very cute festive food and I hosted it here at our house and did the activities. All the kids had a blast. When we were decorating Aubrey keep thinking it was her birthday and when everyone left she cried. It was a fun day!

The kids could not get enough of the jump house.

Enjoying mom time while the kids played.

Decorating Halloween cookies.

Then we made candy bracelets.

Guess what Aubrey was for Halloween.......

Ever since our trip to Disneyland last year Aubrey has loved Snow White. She was the only character that didn't scare her. When we said good bye to the beautiful princess Snow White said "Ta ta" and that has stuck with Aubrey ever since. That is how she said good bye for a while then all the princess names where Ta ta. Slowly she has started calling them princess but Snow White has remained Ta ta. She has a huge collection of all the Disney princess but she always goes straight for Snow White. So of course Aubrey wanted to be
Snow White.

This is Aubrey's Snow White collection:

Look how happy she is:

This year Carter is a Monkey. This is perfect for him because when we are holding him he tries to climb up to our shoulders. His costume is very cute and it keeps him nice and warm.

PetSmart Halloween Party

The weekend before Halloween Aubrey and I took Deuce to the Dog Halloween Party at PetSmart, I know kind of a silly event but I thought Aubrey would like to see all the dogs and it was a fun activity for just her, Deuce and I to do. This year we bought Deuce a new costume, a frog at Old Navy but I thought that since there wasn't a lot of new costume to choose from this year that might be a popular one so I pulled out the bee costume which he wore 3 years ago in hopes of being unique. When we arrived to the party there were about 10 other dogs and 7 were bees! One even had the same bee costume, oh well. It was fun and Aubrey got a yummy cookie and had a great time exploring the store and checking out the hamsters and mice.
