One of the perks of working at Castle Airport is we always get to go to all the fun events for free. They had there annual Omelet Brunch and my boss got us tickets. We had a wonderful breakfast and then got to go to the museum. Aubrey loves all the "big planes." We even got to go in a couple. It was a nice day.
I'm a little late on my posts this month. We all got the flu at the beginning of October. We are all finally better! It was rough. Carter turned 5 months 2 Saturdays ago. As you can see from the picture he has been spending some time in the walker. He is so strong! Whenever he is being held he wants to stand on our legs so we knew he would love the walker and he does. Carter has been moody lately I think because his teeth maybe coming in. He cries a lot and is very hard to get to sleep. He use to love the swaddle but now that he is Mr. buff man he can get right out of it which means his arms and legs are moving like crazy and he doesn't sleep. He is also very curious so nursing has began to be quit a challenge. Carter has found his voice and has started making some funny sounds. Other then all that his doing great and growing everyday.
I think I can officially say that. We started charting all her "potties" on a sticker chart right after her Birthday in February. She was pretty good about going when we asked her but we were not that serious about it. With the new baby and our busy schedule Aubrey in diapers was just easier. Last week Friday Sept. 24th we decided to really do it. Every time she would go we would have a potty party with blow horns and a candle. She picked right up on it and has now been in big girl panties for a whole week. Poor little Aubrey got the flu this last week and I thought for sure the potty would be the last thing on her mind but I was wrong she keep up with it and did so good. I can't believe how fast she is growing. She talks so much now and is always asking questions. Aubrey still takes an afternoon nap 2pm-5pm and goes to bed at 7:30pm and wakes up at 8am. Her favorite dinner is homemade mac & cheese with hot dogs and her favorite dessert is ice cream which she calls "cream". She always puts a smile on our faces. Last weekend Titi came out to visit. We went to the fall festival in Atwater for the day. It sure didn't feel like fall that weekend I think it was around 95 degrees. All of last week was very hot but the fall is on it's way. This weekend we have had overcast skies and it's supposed to be in the 70's this week yay! Anyways we had a wonderful weekend spending time with Titi. The festival had lots of vendors, yummy food and a fun train that Aubrey loved!
Aubrey is such a little artist. She loves all kinds of crafts and art. She will color all day if we let her. I have been trying to think of some new ways to keep her busy. Titi gave us a great idea, saving cream art. Aubrey had a blast! (Check out her new hair do!)
A couple of weekends ago Aubrey, Carter and I went to Sonora to see how the house was coming along and to hang out with my parents. Spencer went fishing with his dad and brothers that day.
